Crapppp! Overslept!!

My day didn’t start that great.

You see I’m getting closer the end of my vacation and after five weeks off it’s easy to get some habits… nocturnal habits… like sleeping late. So now when having the end of vacation in sight, the last days I’ve been trying to work that little nice habit off. Well the task isn’t actually that rough, it’s only about setting the alarm for a (reasonable) wakeup in the mornings. I do mean reasonable, the vacation isn’t over quite yet so I’m not intending to overdo this mission of mine.

For this morning the alarm had been set for 7.30. That also would provide me with some opportunity for snoozing if needed :) Damnit I totally blew it!! Somehow (I know the alarm was turned on, I carefully checked that last night) I turned that silly clock off in my sleep and slept till 9… 9ish actually. ¤#@@!!¤¤!!@!!!

Crapppp how will I even be able to wake up in time on Monday morning???? As for now I see only one option, not going to bed on Sunday night at all! Somehow I suspect my boss won’t be that supportive in that decision though. I gotta come up with a better plan here….

Anyway the plan for this day is a visit to the city. The weather isn’t the best, there’s a covering greyish cloudlayer and like 16-17C… we had some rain last night as well. So why not make a trip to the city and cruise around the shops downtown? :)
Eventhough the city isn’t that far, by car it’s like a 40min drive when there’s no traffic blocking my advances, I rarely do this trip. Honestly I haven’t been to the city for the entire summer, and there’s no reason why really. I’ve been busy elsewhere, and whenever I need to go shopping, for a dinner out, the movies whatever, I can find it elsewhere.
Heyy… am I getting lazy? Yeah probably. And tired in the mornings!!

For my wakeup tomorrow morning (my final dress rehearsal!!) I definitely will set TWO alarms.
I have to :(

Much Love

  1. Two alarms = good idea

Just force yourself to get up at the right time for a few mornings, then you will start to get used to it and things will switch back to normal. Oh and of course, budgeting your evening time (ie: going to sleep at a reasonable hour) is uber important. I know, because I never do. LOL.

    Cheers.

  2. I knowwww… eventually things will get forced by themselves back to normal. That's the worse thing, it WILL!

I hate when the lack of sleep are multiplied, and on Friday night all I'm left with is this zombie-like feeling. I probably should sleep more, yes.

  3. I find it even more difficult to go to bed at the right time in the evening. If I WOULD go to bed earlier and not wind up chatting or reading for many hours till midnight, getting up early wouldn't be a problem either.

Setting two alarm clocks – that's a good idea. In case you have a radio alarm clock, you could also turn the radio loud enough to keep you awake. :P

    Lunario

  4. i'm gonna face this exact problem myself in a weeks' time :(

hehe. i recognise one of my fave cute boys :P

    torchy!
